Halloween is the only day Dorian and Rory can
be together to experience their love after they came to an unexpected
demise. They must be seen by a real person in order to be together forever
and pass onto the next realm. When a local psychic reveals their story,
and only Dorian is seen by a local girl, there is the fear Rory will be
left behind never to see Dorian again. Time is running out for these
eternal lovers.
The unexpected opening chapter of Rory's
Regret made me want to keep turning
the pages. From the very highly charged sexual tension in the introductory
scene Rory's Regret turned into an emotional story that
concentrated on the relationship between the lead characters and some
secondary characters who played a pivotal role in this entertaining
Halloween paranormal. In spite of the book’s length, Ms. St.
Croix manages to intersperse a lot of really diverse and
interesting sensual sex scenes between Rory and Dorian, two very
sympathetic and likeable characters who I discovered were ghosts. Rory and
Dorian manage to heat up the pages with their love and devotion to each
other, but also in their limited time together where they are able to
express their passion in some very sensual scenes. Ms. St. Croix
beautifully balanced this with the growing love between the secondary
characters she uses, as well as incorporating an eccentric psychic that
may attract readers’ interest. All this made for a very nostalgic and
romantic Halloween story. Even the over the top shenanigans and a charged
atmosphere will have readers enjoying this story as I did.

Wow this is the first I have read of this author and must say
it won’t be the last. Eva St. Croix did a beautiful job of showing two
people so in love that the man will do anything he can to make his woman
happy. Dorian is a true gentleman who we don’t see often in this age
and Rory is the perfect woman for him. Even though they can only be
together one night of the year they make every time they have last
forever. The love scenes between them are hot and must say this ghost
was wow. Eva St. Croix brought the story to life where you can see
Dorian in the beach naked and their love through out the book. Awesome
job.
